He has to be present to set up the illusion and can't leave the illusion standing, if he leaves the area without carrying the illusion with him it will fall.
Pyrokensis: Anger can cause the power to appear, it is dangerous and deadly. It drains energy and depending on the conditions around him drains more. Has to be in the vicinity can not set fire to a building across town.
Transformation: Does not work on animate objects. He has to be in the vicinity of the object changing and takes concentration to get it right. If he gets distracted it is possible to not work or end up with hybrid items.
Force-Field Generation: Lasts as long as he has strength and is awake. Become unconscious in any way it drops. Can be broken down with enough force but probably would drain both people before that happens.
History: Colin was born as the spare heir. The second born son of the Fay family. He was eight years younger than his older brother and grew up under his protection. Which over time grew to be confused with a shadow in the mind of the young warlock. He needed and depended on his older brother through most of his childhood. He also felt like he was the back up though by his parents. To carry on the family name and position should anything happen to his older brother. He took his feelings of that and pushed them deep down inside himself though. Not showing them to the world. Only allowing them to come to the surface when he was totally alone with just his own thoughts.
Colin grew into his teen years like any boy does. Learning more about himself and his powers as a warlock. More than that he grew into his own mind and body. It was not long before he was growing out of thinking that girls had cooties and wanted to spend time with them. He grew to like women with his first girlfriend, Jessica. He handled the relationship with very little grace and they ended up breaking up when she caught him kissing Samantha behind the bleachers. When she asked him why he did it, he just said because he felt like it. He had no remorse for doing it, just indulged his desires.
When he was sixteen was when it happened. The family decided to pull out the old spell books and try a spell. Kyrian came to him because he felt weird about it. Colin did not feel the same, he was curious, and he wanted to see what happened. It was a powerful spell from one of the older of the family spell books. He wanted to do it so he declined to back his brother and his attempts to stop the spell.
The day came for the spell to happen and he was quite curious and excited to learn more and experience the outcome of the spell. But it did not go well for them, there was an explosion of sorts and he was thrown backwards, and another one as well killing both his sister in law and niece.
Kyrian lashed out at them all but at colin above all, he was hurt at the death and Colin got the brut force of it, taking on the blame because he was curious and he did not know that the spell would do that. Kyrian left shortly after.
It was not long after Kyrian abandoned the family that his father called Colin into the drawing room. He said with Kyrian abandoning the family and leaving the city like he did, he was no longer fit to become Head of House, he named Colin the new heir to everything. The heir to House Fey.
Inside Colin felt sad for the loss of his niece and sister in law but he had a hard time keeping that straight, he could not deny that the outcome of it was in his own personal interests. Even though that was not what was intended of the entire ordeal he loved the outcome and sometimes deep down his pleasure at getting what he wanted even inadvertently at such a cost hurts him.
He soon started to embrace his new place in the world. Learning what ti meant to be the head of house. What that came with, the power the influence in the city. Outside of the shadow that his brother cast he started to come into his own. Especially with not being under his watchful eye anymore. He started to drink more and embrace his place in the world and himself.
He was eighteen years old when he meet the Dark Fae Queen for the first time. She was dark and tempting beyond anything else he had ever seen. Gorgeous and dangerous. She offered him something, knowledge.....the chance to be her student and learn the dark secrets of the fae. He knew it was an offer unlike any other that he would ever receive, he could learn and grow in power under her tutelage that maybe someday even the supreme would give way to him, or so he thought. So he accepted the offer to learn from the Dark Fae Queen.
For the past ten years has been learning and growing as an individual. He is wicked smart with a quick eye and ability to pick up the details that others may miss. Learning quickly from all that is taught to him becoming a truly gifted warlock in his own right through his own studies and what the dark queen teaches him. He loves power and indulging in his desires and whims. Recently his father passed on leaving him as Head of House and he is adjusting to his new responsibility and power with great ease. Little does he know his life is about to be changed with the recent return of his older brother. He is using his connections and charm to lead the house as he adjusts.
