The Seven Wonders/The Supreme

[attr="class","i-content"]The Seven Wonders is the test used to determine the next Supreme in line through process of elimination. It's common for a witch to obtain several abilities, even abilities included in this list, but to master all seven is nearly impossible. The only witch in history known to inhabit a natural ability to all seven is referred to as the Supreme. In order to determine who is the Supreme within a generation a series of tests must be performed, and though only one can succeed, only one may come out of it alive as well.

The Supreme is a term for a worldwide recognized status among witches descending from Salem and is the embodiment of many or all powers available to a witch. Though all witches can obtain several powers throughout their lifetime the Supreme shows the most potential for great magic-though this does not make them all powerful. The Supreme in most cases is a hereditary trait, passing from mother to daughter, but in some cases it can be unpredictable and chosen at random. To be a Supreme also means you are free from disease and illness, but not exempt from aging or fatal wounds. When a Supreme dies, whether of natural causes or not, the next in line will inherit the power upon death.

Pyrokinesis - The ability to control and conjure fire with the power of the mind.

Descensum - Spiritual descent into the netherworld or afterlife. Witches are able to project themselves directly into Hell, which takes the form of their worst fears. If a witch is stuck for a certain amount of time, they will never be able to leave and their body disintegrates into dust. To use this power, they commonly chant an incantation. It's also known as Astral Projection.

Vitalum Vitalis - The balancing of the scales between one life force and another. Witches can transfer their own life force to dead or nearly dead people in order to heal them. Commonly seen side-effects are fainting and dizziness due to the strain. Can also be used to drain life force as well.

Divination - The ability to obtain direct knowledge about an object, person, location or physical event through means other than the user's physical senses.

Transmutation - The ability to move instantaneously from one location to another without physically occupying the space in between, also known as Teleportation.

Concilium - Imposition of one's will onto another. It can be resisted, though doing so causes increasing intracranial pressure to the point of explosion. If exercised, it can bend the strongest of wills.

Telekinesis - The ability to manipulate objects with the power of the mind. This is the most commonly seen power, displayed by many witches.
